This guideline addresses the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just just before Thotar offers you a taming Rod for your Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar provides you with a number of three taming rods, each one differs and enables you tame beasts in the next order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and finally an Armored Scorpid.

After getting finished the taming Component of the Quest chain, you need to head to Orgrimmar and talk to Ormak Grimshot within the Valley of Honor so as to unlock your companion pet More Help handling skills: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.
